Real Bride: Haley & Caleb Green
Real Bride, Haley, married her perfect match, Caleb, on November 11, 2025. The wedding took place at the Della Terra Mountain Chateau, a breathtaking venue located above Estes Park, Colorado at the Fall River entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park.

Haley is wearing Essense of Australia style D3631. This gown exudes luxe glamour with its simple and chic pleated bodice and voluminous A-line skirt that unfolds into a stylish side slit and full train for a striking statement. Haley, you are stunning!

The Green’s Love Story
Haley and Caleb met in 2016 at Illinois Wesleyan University in their freshman year econ class. They became part of the same friend group and built a genuine friendship. As time went on, they couldn’t deny that were more than friends and started dating a year after they met. Since then, they’ve taken countless trips together, lived in different cities/states/countries at times, and have began building their lives together in Chicago. They got engaged at the Chicago Botanic Gardens on 5/4/2024 and started planning their dream wedding immediately! Colorado was the perfect place for the two to get married because Caleb grew up there, Haley has family there, and they’ve made so many memories there already. They got married in Estes Park, CO on 11/2/25 and are now living in their first apartment together in Chicago!
We asked Haley to describe when she knew her dress was the one…
I had a pretty specific vision coming into my appointment, and we were able to replicate that Pinterest vision board pretty perfectly! I knew my dress was the one when I put it back on after trying other dresses, and it just felt like it was meant for me. I already knew I wanted a specific style (A-line, classic, slight texture on the bodice, slit in the leg), which matched the fourth dress I tried on. But we obviously tried other styles after that, which left me feeling a bit uncertain – I tried on a big ballgown that I actually loved, but just felt overwhelmed (and hot with all the fabric) and wasn’t sure how I’d be able to decide. Then, I put my dress back on and literally said “this feels so much more like me.” I couldn’t take it off after that!
Haley’s Crystal Bride Experience
I tend to be an indecisive person, so I knew choosing a wedding dress would probably be difficult. However, shopping at Crystal Bride made it such an enjoyable experience, and they didn’t make me feel rushed when trying to make such a big decision. I think I ended up standing in the mirror past my appointment time once I had found the one but was struggling to make it official. They listened to what I wanted but also had me try on other styles I didn’t think I’d like just to make sure I got to try everything and be certain in my choice! I truly felt like I had the ‘Say Yes to the Dress’ experience that I dreamed of for years! We ended up coming back to Crystal Bride to get my mom’s dress as well, and we had an amazing experience that time too!
Favorite Wedding Day Moment?
Our wedding day was by far the best day of our lives – it’s so hard to pick just one moment! We absolutely loved our outdoor ceremony surrounded by mountains & trees at the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park; that was one of the most special parts of the day for sure. My cousin who’s a pastor in France performed our ceremony and it was perfect; we also had live string instruments playing the processional/recessional music, a moment of prayer with our families with worship music, and personal vows that left everyone in tears. Colorado is such a special place to us and getting married to my best friend surrounded by all our loved ones was so overwhelming and emotional. Other highlights were the speeches from our best men, maid & matron of honor, and my dad, followed by dancing all night on the dance floor to our favorite songs! We never wanted the day to end.
Haley’s Advice to Future Brides
Try to enjoy the wedding planning process! It can be overwhelming and stressful budgeting, asking people to spend money for all the events, planning all the little details, and trying to make everyone happy. But you only get one wedding so try to enjoy the process with your fiancé and remember that everyone who wants to celebrate you will be there and support you! Don’t be afraid to ask people for help.
We also used our venue’s preferred vendor list for most of our vendors which helped eliminate some of the research and also ensured everything would run smoothly; we typically looked through the preferred vendors and went with the most affordable option that we also felt a good connection with.
Another more specific practical tip is to use Costco for flowers to save thousands – we ordered white roses & baby’s breath from Costco and put together all our own bouquets and they turned out AMAZING (thanks to help from family/friends to put them all together two days before the wedding). We probably spent $500 on Costco flowers and $250 on fake flowers for floral arrangements, vs spending $5k+ like we were quoted from florists.
